Founded in 1938, Detlev Louis Motorradvertriebs GmbH specialized in importing motorcycles in the early decades. There is hardly a brand that we did not have in our range at some point.

As an active international racing driver, company founder Detlev Louis optimized his machines and also offered this to his customers. The first mail-order accessories catalog was published as early as 1965, and since 1981 the branch network has been continuously expanded and is constantly growing.

Today's head office with its highly automated dispatch logistics has had to be expanded several times since the company moved in 1991.

Detlev Louis Motorrad-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH is now part of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and Europe's No. 1 for motorcycle clothing and technology.
