A "Back to the Future" helmet by Arai? Yes, it actually exists. Namely, the *Concept-X* full-face helmet, which looks like it has just been teleported from the 1980s into the present day. But behind the retro design, this helmet incorporates all of the vast experience in helmet design that is the hallmark of Arai From the advanced helmet construction through to the innovative VAC-VS visor system and the Facial Contour System lining. This Arai is the real deal.

Arai embodies the typically Japanese pursuit of perfection like almost no other company. Founder, Hirotake Arai, was actually a hat maker, but he also happened to be a motorcycle rider, and in the 1950s he developed his first helmets. His son and successor, Michio Arai, took over in 1976, and made Arai synonymous with putting safety at the heart of everything. His obsession with detail and pursuit of quality still shape each individual helmet to this very day. That includes everything from the super-smooth shape to the extra-strong shells, exclusive use of double 'D' fasteners and adjustable cheek and temple padding. So, of course, a helmet from Arai never comes cheap. But worth every penny.
