Many people consider that a paraffin (kerosene) lamp is the cosiest form of lighting there is. You really can't beat sitting outside on a summer evening in the soothing glow from a lantern like this. At Louis you'll find the original Feuerhand Baby Special 276 hurricane lamp, which has been made in Germany for over 90 years and has hardly changed at all.
The wind will have a hard job to blow out this classic lantern because an ingenious ventilation system ensures a steady, gentle flow of air - even in a strong gale! The burning wick is also protected by a sturdy Suprax glass globe by Schott. This electrogalvanised metal lantern will burn for up to 20 hours on a full tank of paraffin or pure lamp oil. The Feuerhand burns with a bright flame to give a warm light without any soot or smell.
