There's no way round it. Sooner or later your oil and oil filter will need to be changed. Even the high-quality premium Wrench-Off Oil Filter from K&N. The reason is that oil ages and becomes dirty. Over time, the suspended particles in the oil clog the filter, so the filtering performance deteriorates - which can lead to engine damage. And one thing's for sure, a change of oil and oil filter is a whole lot cheaper than an engine repair !
K&N really make it easy to fit a new oil filter. No need for a special oil filter wrench to unscrew the Wrench-Off filter cartridge. A normal size 17 wrench will do the job! It fits perfectly over the welded nut. Easy as pie.

The standard carburettor and air filter housing configurations remain the same. Registration of the modification in the vehicle document is not necessary.
