KELLERMANN KTW 2.5 CHAIN

When it's time to change your motorcycle chain, the Kellermann KTW 2.5 Chain Breaker and Riveter is the perfect tool. This tool makes it easy to remove your old, worn chain and precisely fit the new chain (with rivet master link), and without the bother of removing the rear swing arm.

A feature worthy of special mention: This tool from Kellermann is ideal for breaking all commonly used makes of chain, and for riveting RK, D.I.D., AFAM and Saito chains with a hollow rivet link. The only other tool you need for changing your chain is a size 19 box end or socket wrench.

The Kellermann KTW 2.5 chain tool is the improved, strengthened version of the KTW 2.0. It now features two pins with different diameters. The pre-fitted pin has an even larger diameter than previously, and is designed for use on 5xx and 6xx chains. The second pin is specifically for breaking 4xx chains.

Good to know:
The chain tool consists of the main tool for applying force and the patented magnetic positioning unit for installing the rivet master link. This unit features a completely new, easy-to-use means of fitting the side plate of the master link.
The newly developed positioning unit makes for absolutely precise fitting of the side plate of the master link. The magnets integrated in both the pressure plate and counterplate hold the two parts of the master link, enabling exact and accurate alignment of the connecting link parts. This is essential for fitting the master link without any damage. The alignment can be checked at all times via the cut-outs in the pressure plate. In addition, the magnets ensure that the positioning unit remains firmly attached to the chain, so you do not need to hold it all the time.
With the main tool, the positioning unit can then be used to fit the side plate onto the master link. The pressure plate and counterplate are designed so that they extend over the neighbouring chain links, which means that, when fitting the master link, you can easily see when the side plate has been pressed far enough onto the two pins. This effectively eliminates the risk of damaging the chain or master link, which often happens otherwise, due to incorrect assembly.
