The Philips *LongLife EcoVision* H4 60/55W vehicle headlight lamp is a halogen lamp, which with its 3000 hours "life" is one of the true continuous burners. The annoying and often fiddly replacement thus takes place at much greater intervals. The Philips *LongLife EcoVision* consists essentially of UV-blocking quartz glass which is also stronger than tempered glass and very resistant to extreme temperatures and vibrations. Philips quartz glass lamps (filament 2,650 ºC and glass 800 ºC) can withstand severe temperature fluctuations. The ability of UV-blocking fused quartz to withstand higher internal pressure in the lamp allows for more powerful light.
