SILENT SPORT CABLE TIES
STAINLESS STEEL, 15-PC.
Important notes
SILENT SPORT CABLE TIES STAINLESS STEEL, 15-PC.
Plastic cable ties are not much use if you need to secure anything in close proximity to the exhaust manifold or any other part that gets very hot. Permanent exposure to the sun is also a problem, as plastic will soon degrade, and become hard and brittle. We are pleased to recommend the 15-piece stainless-steel cable tie set. These cable ties are excellent for use in extreme conditions.
Heat and UV radiation will not affect the rustproof steel.
The set consists of:
- 5 cable ties: 520 mm long by 4.6 mm wide
- 10 cable ties: 300 mm long by 4.6 mm wide
For securing these cable ties permanently, we recommend using the Rothewald Stainless-steel Cable Tie Pliers (10009138).
Made in Germany
Located in Nettetal in the Lower Rhine region, the company SP claims to make probably the best silencer filling materials in the world. A credible claim when you consider that Silent Sport silencer material has been involved in the winning of more than 70 national and world titles in various motor sports categories since its market launch in 1991. As an OEM, SP supplies such renowned brands as KTM, Akrapovic, BSM and Yoshimura. This success is quite likely also a product of the firm's own involvement in the racing scene, which is where the Silent Sport products are developed and constantly improved.
Stainless steel is a collective term for rustproof steel. It is much more resistant to corrosion than non-alloyed steels. Stainless steel does not deteriorate, and is hygienic, UV-resistant, non-corroding, fracture-proof, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. It does not weather and can be recycled in its entirety, even after many years. Technically, the term "stainless steel" refers to corrosion-resistant steel alloys with a wide variety of compositions but always containing a high percentage of chromium (usually a minimum of 10.5%)
.
MAINTENANCE:
Stainless steel should be cleaned regularly like all other materials, especially after exposure to salty air (near the coast), and also at regular intervals.
Water can easily collect in corners, edges and screw connections, resulting in corrosion. So careful cleaning is important, and if necessary screws should be undone in order to clean the parts thoroughly.
Do not leave rusty steel parts against stainless steel to avoid the rust "contamination".
