Starter freewheel for various models
To allow the starter motor of an engine to rest after starting, there is a so-called "freewheel". This mechanically protects the starter from the excessively high speeds of a started combustion engine by immediately "decoupling". If the starter freewheel on your vehicle is defective, you will recognize this by a metallic, popping noise when pressing the starter button. However, the engine will not start. The only remedy is to replace the starter freewheel or get an All Balls Racing (ABR) starter freewheel. These are available for various vehicles. You can find out which starter freewheel is suitable for your vehicle under "My Bike" or "All Variants".
